You have your way and I have my way, as for the correct way the right way, it does not exist.

Why Coaching

How

“Nothing is more validating and affirming than feeling understood. And the moment a person begins feeling understood that person becomes far more open to influence and change”
– Stephen Covey

The driving value of CoachMatching is partnership; all of our products and services reflect this coupled with a coaching approach, so, whether the service you require is straight forward executive or leadership coaching through to a cultural transformation this is the consistent backbone throughout.

In partnering with individuals and organisations we establish the AS IS to the TO BE positions. Often, when taking a strategic view, we identify needs outside of the coaching remit. We have therefore developed complimentary products and services and formed strategic partnerships to achieve a desired outcome and maintain a consistent approach.

Coaching Styles:

“You have your way and I have my way, as for the correct way the right way, it does not exist”
– Friedrich Nietzsche

Every coach has their own style of coaching. There is no right/wrong way of coaching, rather, coaching is an art that must be cultivated and refined over time. A good coach will have a specific way of coaching, and will adhere to specific values, models and frameworks to follow their own coaching philosophy. There are many different styles of coaching, It is important to find the right style of coaching that works for you or your organisation in order to achieve your goals or to address your particular issues or needs.

Here are some examples of the styles of coaching our coaches work with:

High Performance Coaching:

For the competitive client. Developing a compelling goal, creating milestones to keep a client focused on the goals, and to build momentum with daily reporting. High performance is achieved through creating rapport in relationship and a professional process followed with clear outcomes and deliverables.
High Performance Coaching is about achieving rapid change towards a clear outcome by walking a client through their understanding of how their personal maps are formed and how to adjust those maps where they limit us. The motto is clearly "succeeding on purpose".

Integral Coaching:

“Integral” means integrative, inclusive, comprehensive, balanced; the idea is to apply this integral orientation to the various fields of human knowledge and endeavors. This integral approach is important [because] it deeply alters our conceptions of psychology and the human mind; of anthropology and human history; of literature and human meaning; of philosophy and the quest for truth…” Ken Wilber, The Eye of Spirit

The Integral Coaching models and theories are based on and embrace all aspects of what it means to be human. It includes everything and everyone. An effective integral coaching relationship enables us to become more of the best person we can be, and enables us to be more competent and balanced as a human being.

Gestalt Coaching:

Gestalt is an organic model that focuses on bringing into conscious awareness and choice one’s exterior and interior reality in order to achieve personal coherence and satisfaction (Perls, Hefferline & Goodman, 1951).

Gestalt Coaching is a present-focused approach, and one that seeks to recognize the critical choice points for actions that exist in the moment but that promise long-term effect.
Living now is more central than dwelling in the past – or imagining a future divorced from the present. The process starts from the surface and follows the experience of each individual - not seeking out the unconscious, but staying with what is present and aware. Awareness is seen as curative and growth producing.

Health Coaching:

“Health coaching is becoming recognized as a new way to help individuals "manage" their illnesses and conditions, especially those of a chronic nature. Health coaching is a method of guiding another to "discover" and address their own ambivalence to health behavior change. Health coaching gives health care providers a framework by which they can assist someone to identify issues, beliefs, and concerns that may hinder or support his/her lifestyle change or responsibility for health that lies ahead for the individual. Like traditional coaching, health coaches utilize goal setting, identification of obstacles, and use of personal support systems. The relationship between the coach and coachee is an accountability partnership focused on the overall health outcome goals as defined by healthcare coach and the coachee.” Ref: www.wikipedia.org

NLP Coaching:

This style of coaching incorporates Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques to accelerate personal development. NLP looks at the mind and how we think (Neuro), how we use language and how it affects us (Linguistics) and how we sequence our actions to achieve our goals (Programming). In other words, NLP studies how we structure our subjective experience – how we think about our values and beliefs, how we create our emotional states, how we build our internal world and give it meaning. NLP offers the following advantages to the client within the coaching relationship; (1) Speed – NLP techniques work quickly, (2) A pragmatic approach – if what you are doing does not work, do something else, (3) An appreciation of how your goals, beliefs and values interact, and (4) Useful techniques to choose the emotional state best suited to a particular situation.

Consciousness Coaching:

Consciousness Coaching is a methodology of coaching that creates shifts in a person’s consciousness leaving them empowered to influence providence and create a self designed destiny.
Consciousness Coaching adds an awareness creation component. Ignorance not in knowledge, but in awareness, limits a person's ability to create the life he/she would love to live. To dissolve this ignorance by insights into the nature of human consciousness - the operating system with which every human being conducts their actions - and to enable the human being to successfully operate with consciousness, is the core commitment of Consciousness Coaching.
